Article comments

International transport and logistics firm DB Schenker has appointed Petra Kuester as the new CFO of Schenker (UK) Limited.

In a statement, the global firm’s UK arm said Kuester will join at the end of January replacing Per Holst-Nielsen who has moved to a role in Sweden at Schenker AB.

Oxford-born Kuester joined DB Schenker in 1998 and has held various positions within the company. She is currently the CFO of DB Schenker (Canada); a position which she took office for in 2007.

Commenting on her appointment, Helgi Ingolfsson, CEO of Schenker Limited, said, “I am very happy to welcome Petra Kuester to the UK organisation. She has a great financial background and will bring many advantages especially in terms of understanding different business cultures.”

“Furthermore not only due to her qualifications and experience having our first female UK board member is a bonus. This helps towards the DB goal as well, which is to increase the proportion of women in top management positions within the group,” Ingolfsson added.
