Tas Viglatzis appointed CFO of FT Group

The FT Group, owned by UK-listed publisher Pearson, has appointed Tas Viglatzis as its new CFO, it was announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, the publisher of the Financial Times said Viglatzis, who was previously director of strategy at the group, will help it meet current financial objectives as well as identify potential acquisitions.
The CFO is also expected workout new revenue streams and improve group wide efficiencies, the statement added.
In a related development, the FT Group also announced the appointment of Gio Stoppiello as its new chief operating officer.
Stoppiello previously worked as the FT Group’s UK finance director. Both newly appointed executives succeed Scott Henderson, as he leaves the company to pursue career opportunities in North America.
